SSB- KEN CHARLES’S CP HAIKU CHALLENGE

Good evening Saturday Spankings Bloghoppers. Sometimes when I’m supposed to be writing, but basically I’m contemplating the dust or cat fur on the keyboard, I need to set aside whatever I am not working on, and write something completely different. One challenge I’ve used to try to jump start the creative process is to try my hand at writing a Haiku poem. Tonight’s SSB offering are some mind palette clearing examples:

Insubstantial twigs,
Green and slender, tied with twine,
Now a fearsome rod.

***

Once imperious,
Now roseate and humbled,
Abject and contrite.

***
Willow, weeping, waits.
Whippoorwills wail “Whip her, Will,
With white willow wands!”

All right, SSBloghoppers, consider the gauntlet duly thrown. Now it’s your turn. Let’s see your best CP Haikus. Here are the rules:

1) Size -- 3 lines of first line 5 syllables, second line 7 syllables, and third line 5 syllables.
Each haiku may have up to one extra syllable. Any entry with more than 18 syllables, or more than 1 extra syllable in any line, will be posted, but ineligible to compete.

2) Subject -- anything corporal punishment theme related. If that is too limited, you’re probably in the wrong blog hop.

3) Scoring -- Judges (anyone who wants to comment) may award 1 point for originality, 1 point for transformation (see e.g. the first two Ken Charles examples above), and 1 point for the hell of it. Authors are requested not to judge their own works in the spirit of fair play.

4) Entries must be sent to Ken Charles at Kencharles925@gmail.com by Tuesday, December 10, 2013. All entries will be numbered with the author’s name removed, then posted for comments and scoring by SSBloghoppers on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Voting will be open until Sunday, December 15, 2013. The winner(s) will be
posted on the SRECC by Wednesday, December 18, 2013.

5) By participating in this challenge (as an author or judge), participant attests that she or he is at least 18 years of age.

Prizes--First Place and Best Transformation Haiku each will receive an electronic copy of The Naughty Ladies of Cotton Glen by Ken Charles

An Open Apology for “Capcha”:

I love to hear your comments. Every author loves to hear positive comments. Every author who is serious about improving her or his work should at least give thoughtful consideration to constructive negative comments, the key word being “constructive”. Sorry about the “Capcha”, but I had a run in with some nasty trolls a while back. I’d no sooner block a name, than the same individual (same misspelled words and grammatical errors) would post under another name. I had to add moderation to the comments. I didn't realize that moderating at my end added a “capcha" at yours. Once again, sorry for any inconvenience. CK

Check out The Mercies of Cinderella by Ken Charles

This is no Disney princess!

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B1W4YWK

Payback is a bitch, and so at times is Cinderella. Cinderella is about to marry Prince Charming. Her evil Step Mother and Stepsisters have been convicted of high treason for their conspiracy to prevent the Prince from finding his true love, and are awaiting sentencing. Before the Prince passes sentence, Cinderella asks to take them into her custody for a year to determine whether she may speak on their behalves. The Prince grants her request, and remands the Step relations to one year under the tender mercies of Cinderella.

During this year, while Cinderella basks in the boundless love of the Prince and the joy of her first pregnancy, she applies the hard lessons she learned growing up to her Stepsisters, expressing her concern for their moral edification and well being with various paddles, straps, and even the scopula of a giant trap-door spider. Step Mother, who taught her that nothing in life is free, has to pay for her keep with sexual favors for all who provide her with any goods or services.

  2. Nice! Something different. I think my favorite is the willow/whippoorwill haiku. I'm a sucker for good alliterative phrase.

  3. Then try, "As his prolonged pernicious paddling of her pulchritudinous posterior persists, Thalia perplexedly permits herself a passing pejorative then protests plaintively over her unpropitious punishment."

  4. Great haiku, very visual. Not something I think I'd want willow-whipping me! Okay, maybe just a little ~winks~
